In 1861 he was living in Bloxham, Oxfordshire with his uncle, Frederick Jelleyman, aged 40, a Rope, Twine and Oil Cloth Maker from Bloxham, and his aunt, Amm, aged 30 from Studley, Worcestershire and their 2 daughters Julia and Ann aged 6 and 2 from Evesham, Worcestershire and Rugby, Warwickshire. Charles was 16 years old, single and a Rope (Journeyman) from Milton, Oxfordshire.

In 1891 he was living at 12 Lodge Road, Harborne, Staffordshire with his wife, 4 daughters and a son. He was 46 years old and a Landscape Gardener.

In 1851 she was living in Edington, Wiltshire with her parents and 3 brothers and a sister. He was 6 years old.

In 1871 there were 58 patients in the Warneford Asylum, Headington Hill, Headington, Oxfordshire and there were 19 staff looking after them. Maria Oram was the Matron's Assistant. She was 26 years old and unmarried. The previous occupations of the patients range from Clergymen and a Leiutenant, to Farmers and Dressmakers.
